i love it. reminds me of the stuff I saw in Marakech, Morocco.... lots of smiths still working for a living...
 
got a teenaged kid with some angst? Set him up with a sledge hammer and some hot metal:thumbup::cool:.
 
Hey IG I love that anvil! In fact, there used to be a gentleman that made square anvils, that were adjustable in heigth. Some were saying that it's the perfect type of anvil to
pound out a blade on. Seems that they were around $400 or so by special order. I almost ordered one once but didn't, and now kinda wish I had of.

Robert, you are thinking of Chuck Robinson from Mississippi, in fact I got the very last double billet anvil he ever made, I paid around 700$ for it with both ends hardened, the adjustable stand, and the video on how he makes them. best bladesmithing anvil ever.
