Great Views and Mutant Wasps !!!

great pics! that looks like a bald faced hornet but I can't really tell. squish!
 
Be careful with hornets or wasps. They have a habit of spending a lot of time on crap and other unsavory material. They can cause really nasty infections.


I had one sting me and I had a hole in me for a very long time. Took a long time to heal.

Clean those stings thoroughly and keep an eye on them if they get infected and doesn't seem to be healing.

Temperate rainforest? Just did a little reading on the geographyand environment of Vancouver Island and I'm jealous. Even though parts of Florida look somewhat like your first few pictures, we don't have the stunning vistas and the non-hellacious summer temps.
