I've been riding my current motorcycle for almost 11 years now.

A 1981 Yamaha XJ750 Seca.
It's been a stone cold reliable runner.
Arthritis has kept me off the bike more than mechanical problems.

Sucks getting old....................................................

That's why I like my Road Sofa, cruise control, self adjustin' shocks, stereo and a cushy seat, just like sittin' in the sofa at home 'cept the Road Sofa handles a lot better. :D

Arthritis doesn't seem so bad when ya have all the amenities of yer livin' room at home and all the comforts of yer recliner.

Not comfy bike for me, thank you.

If it ain't stripped down naked, and screaming bloody murder.
You won't see me riding it, no matter how old I get.

I did that for forty years, I loved my Kawasaki Z1R Turbo back in the 80s, My Norton Combat Commando i the 70's and all my assorted super bikes in between, threw my leg over a Hyabusa:thumbup: two years ago and it was the biggest thrill next to jumpin' outta an airplane with a 'chute :D but after 45 minutes, my back was achin' and my face had a pemanent grin plastered on it, I was happy to get on somethin' more comfy.:D

I have a 2004 virago 250 in the city to commute on, and i have a honda 1976 cb750F Ive been working on in a garage.

I had a '76 CB750F in Barney Purple I bought of a guy with 2 other bikes, ('78 KZ750 and a Honda '73 XL 350) for $50, I rode the CB750F for about 2 years on and off, it was a nice street bike, 'cept for the color.

Back in the 70's the birth of the Super Bike was started with those old 750s by the Japaneese mnfgrs.

What a difference between the Sport Bikes of today and the Super Bikes of yesteryear.

I'd guess new sport bikes have much better suspension, brakes, tires, and a whole lot more power.

My first ride was a WR250X Supermoto. Kick in the @$$ around town or on the twisties, but definitely in need of more power on the open road. My current bike is a Star 950 Touring that I have modified a bit. Much more comfortable and plenty of grunt. Starting to get the itch for something faster though.

I said the very same thing... until I hit my late 50's. Now in my 60's I'm more than happy to have a softer seat, a softer suspension, and a more upright riding position with my legs stretched out in front of me.

2006 Ducati Monster. She's a lot of fun and hasn't let me down yet. 15k on the odometer. Almost forgot, I picked up a Kawi 250 klx for playing in the dirt. Very fun bike and the price was right. Just can't take it on the freeway.

Went out this afternoon for a ride and lunch, it was 60 degrees, nice enough for a ride while wearin' a jacket.

There are less and less enthusiasts but still plenty of Bikers enjoyin' the weather, I saw about 5 other bikes on the road one was an old 60s Harley Police Trike, nice.

Got some riding in myself today. Near 60 when I headed out but when the sun went down it got cold fast. Mid 30's by the time I got home. Still a great ride though.

I just picked up a new 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Nomad earlier this year.

I'm really liked my old Suzuki Intruder 1400, but I'm loving this bike, its everything I wanted in a new scoot! :D

Kawasaki KLX-250s ... Cheap, fun, and reliable. :)

They are a little sporty on the freeway. I rode mine on I-10 from Tucson to Phoenix for the IMS motorcycle show at Glendale stadium once :o I wouldn't really recommend it for most poeple though. It's not so bad in the midWest where road speeds are lower and traffic isn't as insane.

I sold my Gold Wing, Harley sportster, and a Honda and got a Suzuki Burghman and would never go back.....I put 6,000 miles on it this year....Best bike ever, even if it is a scooter....................carl

Yesterday was an awesome day. Took a half day off work, so I got a chance to take the suzy out for a putt, with my ol' lady on the queen seat. Cruised over to a friend's house in West Philly, then out into the burbs for a while, and then we made our way back over to the East side and home. Had to get back by dark, though, because my headlamp burned out. It was an absolutely beautiful day out, and we both had a blast. I even heard a couple "Woooooooooo!"s come from behind me. :D
After the ride, we packed up the car with some guns & ammo, and drove down to the shooting range. I've been teaching the wife to shoot, starting her out with a .22 rifle, and yesterday she was confident enough to pick up and shoot both my 12-gauge and my 30-30. :D

All in all, yesterday couldn't possibly have been much better.
