Hi! Can anyone give me some comments on greco's knife? Namely the "Greco Clip Tip Fighter" or "Grand River Camp Knife"? And what about Farid's heavy duty chisel grind tanto tip field knife? It has a 7" blade, 1/4" thick and made out of 440C. Thanks, all help are appreciated!

Ken,i have one of the Farid's from Hammerhead knives.Haven't had a chance to use it yet but it is one hell of a knife.
You would have a hard time hurting it and looks to be a very capable feild knife.Feels good in the hand for such a heavy piece of steel and for the price you can NOT beat it.
Hope this helps some.

I made a sheath for a customer who has a Greco Companion. This is when he was doing everything from 1/4" thick stock, and this particular one was A-2 coated in some sort of bead-blast-like finish. The knife was all business! Heavy, clean lines, sharp, nice leather sheath, and comfy handles. I don't see how you could go wrong with Greco's work, especially when you consider the price and the features you get for it! The Companion is under $90!
