Greco Knives

Tangus, I tried to post a reply earlier and it didnt show up (must be operator error, that would be me). About the Greco Champion, I am not familiar with that model. I have several sale brochures and seen many of his knives, but I dont recall this model. If you have a way to send me a picture I would like to see it.

I think you are probably thinking "Companion." I have his photocopy brochure from last year and there is no "Champion", not to say he may not have created a new model.

The Companion is a great knife for the $. It is what in my mind a bomb proof, back woods knife and a good leather sheath to go with it. I have one and keep it at my camp in the woods. It is a little bit heavy for daily carry to suit my taste. As Ken pointed out, Greco is making 3/16" thick models now, including the Companion. I handled several at Blade. The 3/16" Companion is bit shorter in length than the it's big sibling. But I also think this makes it a better daily carry if that is what one is looking for.
