I started a thread asking the hogs their advice about which 1911 I should buy and I got a bunch of great advice.
Well. before I could heed any of this great advice, a friend of mine offered to sell me a Stainless Steel Colt Combat Commander for three hundred bucks. I couldn't let this one get away!!!! The pistol is all original and it's in great shape. It doesn't look as if it was shot very much.
I was going to post before and after pics after I got some work done to it, but being that it is so minty and original, I was thinking that maybe I should leave it "as is" and not turn it into another "tactical" 1911.
Leave it alone or modify????? That is the question. I went ahead and posted some pics for all the pic-hungry hogs out there!!!!
