Hope this is the best place to post this question.

I purchased some Green Canvas Micarta from two different online sources a couple of years back and found that one was actually more brown than green, but polished up nicely. The other was a nice olive green, but never polished up right. It looks fine when wet, but turns ashy gray in places when dry.

I keep seeing great looking green micarta on custom knives. What is the best online source for consistent quality Green Canvas Micarta?

Thanks in advance.

how are you finishing it?? That makes a BIG difference!

Tom

I start with 150 grit sandpaper then 220,400,600 and finally 1200.

Final polishing is done with white rouge on an 8" soft cotton wheel.

If this is incorrect, what do you suggest? I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks

Sheffields has it available.

Your finishing procedure sounds like it should work just fine. I have not had any problems using the green canvas from Sheffields Knifemaker Supply.

Yep check out Sheffield's. They sometimes have this green canvas micarta that is almost a green teal, not your standard green. I have used it a couple of times, it really stands out.
