It's my first time here, and I'm not sure whether to post this here or in the Collector forum. I'll try here first, for the bigger audience. If I should be in the other forum, I'm sure someone will tell me.
A while back, I came into possesion of an olive drab colored Mission Knives MPK which came with an early style OD green scabbard. I also have the rubber staps for scuba use. All of this is new-in-the-box. What research I have able to do tells me that this is part of a November 1996 special order of 37 green MPK's. At this same time there were 20 of the green old style sheaths made, and 25 of the new style sheaths made. My info indicates these were the only green MPK's made by Mission. I don't know how many of these knives made it into civilian or commercial hands.
Is there much interest in these knives? Am I correct in assuming that this knife is somewhat collectable? Any info would be appreciated.
Doug.
