For sale Green River style butcher knife.

Blade: 6 7/8" flat ground, etched finish
Steel: 1/8" 1080
Handle: 4 7/8" walnut
Hardware: copper
OAL: 11 3/4"
Sheath: vegi tanned leather, dyed, waxed, & hand stiched

Bruce, you are making some great looking blades lately. That Sheath is really nice looking too, love the copper rivets. Congratulations!
 
Bruce you name this as a Butcher knife. 1/8" thick at the spine is not as thick as some knives of this size, but would it also be a fine chopper and brush slasher ? or did you put a thin grind on it to be a slick slicer of flesh ?

Roland - This one has a thin edge for slicing, although I wouldn't be scared to chop through a 2x4 or tree limbs with it (the edge can take it). The blade is a tad short and light to make a decent chopper. Personally I prefer minuimum 3/16" steel and a 9" or longer blade for a chopping knife.

Great spin on a butcher's knife. Looks beautiful. Love the etched blade and brass fittings. Just my kind of knife.:eek::eek::eek: Brilliant.

Maybe you should buy it ? That's how i choose. When a knife in pictures just 'talks to me', then that's the one i buy.
I have 3 very different knives from Bruce (Hunter, Chopper, Utility/EDC).
All are excellent from design through to final execution. They are better than most other custom FBs that cost twice Bruce's prices.
Guaranteed, if this knife 'speaks to you', it will sing like an Opera Diva when you have it in hand.

Wish I could afford such a nice knife. I'll probably have to try to make something similar for myself. It's a stunning knife. Definitely calling out to me that one.
