I had a couple of comments at a show last week-end that the green river style knife needs some kind of guard. Although my interpretation of the knife is not historically correct I wanted to keep the general theme in tact on this one too.
So here it is, a big deviation from the frontier green river but it has a "guard".

1/8 inch 1095
Flat ground
Scotch brite finish; aproximately 150 grit.
Walnut handle
Overall length: 8 7/8 inches
Blade 4 3/4 inches
Riveted leather scabbard

Like your ULU hand axe, you've got a winner on your hands here Gerry! Another G.L. Drew design that is definitely on my "to buy" list! Awesome craftsmanship!

Nice knife Gerry! Very traditional and up to date at the same time. Kind of vindicates the original.
