Green Umnumzaan, user to refurbed and Beyond!

So-Lo

beautiful work! I caught the episode where you anodized this knife on my feed.
Very interesting and informative

Cheers
J

Green takes a bit of getting used to. It's not bad or anything...it's darned unusual. I suppose the bottom line is that it demonstrates the possibilities available with the anodizing process.

Thank you my friend, we should chat again :)

absolutely.

actually i did email you twice in response to our first conversation.

did you ever receive them?

regardless, i do have a couple of blades that i'd love to have some solo treatment on.

This is flat out spectacular! The in-tank shots are a treat and is certainly something one rarely ever gets a chance to see. As spectacular as the underwater shots are, the finished product is even more thrilling. Well Done Sir So-Lo!

Brother I do not remember seeing anything, but it may have been over looked on my end? :(

Anyways let's talk :)

Thanks for the kind words, the in tank stuff is the best part! :D So cool when you do high voltage colors like green, you see all the colors run through.

Green was funny looking at first, but as a lover of green it's really grown on me a LOT! :D

sounds great.

i'm going to shoot you a email shortly just to make sure you're receiving them.

can't wait to get some knives in your hands.

Thanks for the reminder, I haven't stopped thinking about getting a small blasting set up since I saw your vid. I have a few crk's that could use a touch up on the handles and I'd like to try it myself, what type of media did you use? Pressure?
Even on the knives that I have doubles of I hate to send them in because I don't like to be without them, add in the cost of shipping and insurance and it'd pay for a new cabinet pretty quickly.

Man I love that green! Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words, I use a mix of a few different medias. The cabinet cost is not too bad, the only catch is you need a large enough compressor to power it without spitting and sputtering. If you already have that you're golden brother!

Shoot me a email if you need any help getting things setup :)

Thanks.
I already have a nice compressor, just have to get a cabinet.
I appreciate your offer and will be pulling your ear soon.

So-Lo... That Umnumzaan looks absolutely stunning! Well done! I have a Benchmade Lum that I would LOVE to have you spa and mod. Could you PM me with details? Thanks in advance.

Wow! That looks great! I just bought my first Umnumzaan over the weekend from the exchange. It should be here on Thursday. I cant wait! I was thinking about giving it a scotch brite finish but now im thinking about anodizing it instead.

Hey man nice work! I would love to know your setup for the anodizing, its something I might get into in the future and I am trying to get an idea of what people are using! You can pm me if you prefer. Thanks!
