The 106/707 is one of my favorite patterns, so I had to buy this one. It gives me a 106, 707, and a 707 in walnut, and this one.
$35 plus $2.50 shipping, I think was a good price. Serial #2400 if anyone is interested.

Nice find Mountainwind, I like those Greenwing knives myself. Classy packaging and nice color.

That is one of the nicer, upscale Greenwing editions. Many more were made as entry level banquet fundraiser knives for DU using the Century, and even the Ireland knives. Nice!

I just found an older Greenwing Camillus that I'll get pics of when my new camera arrives. A fella could get a decent collection going just in Greenwing knives if he wanted.

D&B, that's my big problem. Everytime I buy something different, I find there's a whole new series of knives to buy.

DU's stand as a large collection on there own.
I'll bet there are close to 50 patterns.
When I get some time.. I'll put up a list.

I think I own the grandaddy of the DU collection but am contemplating selling the knives

That is interesting......... Right now, I have no one to leave mine to, my daughter, will in no way get them, so when I am too old to enjoy them, they will also be sold. I guess it gives me something to do now, while also adding to my retirement.

Here's another version of a DU707 from DU-Canada:

Eric,
That's a beauty and one of the few I haven't seen from DU. It would be nice to add a DU subsection to Larry's site. Not sure if that's been talked about or not but what a great addition to an already great compilation of Schrade knives. Of course, it's real easy for me to suggest work for others :D

 Wow!!!!!!! I wonder if that's the same DU canada etch? I guess so since the seller's from Canada :o .Looks gold but it might just be the lighting bouncing off that gold duck. Good luck with it mountainwind, you're getting quite a unique collection going there:thumbup:

Eric,
Great picture, The literature I have says the DU707 Canada was made for 1992. 650 were ordered. Says the color was to be Burgandy.
Bolsters are brass. Serialized on front bolster.

Thanks Irv,
This one is #648, one of the last three made:D . They made fewer of these than I thought. The paperwork calls it a "108DU Gentleman's Pocket Knife by DU Canada". The shield has the duck's head logo with DU next to it.

Eric

Eric,

Larry,
Yes, exactly the same. It's the same color as a red papermate pen if you have one of those laying around. That's a great bit of information there!

Eric

I have a few DU Schrade items, last week I won a DU "greenwing" on the Bay that I am not familiar with. If anyone has time to tell me what the "greenwing" adds to the DU series and when they were produced it would be appreciated. Auction Photo not that great, but until item arrives for on hand inspection, it is all I can offer. Auction # 250119207058.
I have some of the brown boxed gold logo DU items, but didn't know the brown boxes ever coexisted with the brass bolster models. Sounds like probably a 36OT knife since seller read it as an 86OT.
So I will be able to share more once it arrives but the curiosity about "greenwing" is really gnawwing at me! lol
Thanks in advance for any info and/or history.
My other #1 DU Item, UH set.
