Don Agee, David Catoe, and I are heading out at 4AM for Ashokan.
Hope to see some of you there.
I'll try and update the folks here about the goings on at the seminar.
Now, off to bed.

Pity 'bout the hammer but looking forward to seeing all of you there. I'll probably leave

I'll be coming up with the 1st cuts of the new 1084, 1/8" 15N20 and 3/32" and 1/8" 52100 to name a few. :) See you at the anvil!!

Had a great ride up. All the gang is coming in. Weather is great. Aldo has steel....what more can you ask for.

Wake up Sleepyheads.
Sitting here looking out over the water as the sun comes up. Aldo is here with me and he says hello. ( actually he said F***# you guys :) )

Lots of forging last night.
Bunkhouse was amazingly quiet compared to other years. At one point I thought all the main offenders had died in their sleep.
I will try and put up some photos later, and Page is shooting lots of pics, so he may add them here.

Very cool! That makes me want to go pan some black sand! :D

I hope everyone is having a great time. I really wish I was there.

Another lovely sunrise.

Last night the annual BBQ, cheese tasting, cigars, and single malt tasting lasted into the wee hours as expected. Lots of good chatting and story telling, and some great forging. That Sam is a tornado with a hammer.

It is always sad when you realize that in an all too short short number of hours you will be putting everything in the vehicle and starting the nine hour drive home.

Bummed that I missed out out on the BBQ / cigar / whiskey experience, but had a great time there yesterday all the same.

Ashokan was fantastic and very well ran this year. There was alot of laughs to be had, and some amazing lectures and demonstrations. Roger Pinnock and Peter Gill did a fantastic lecture on what collectors look for in custom knives (thanks again guys ), Jim Kelso did 2 great lectures on japanese non ferrous metals...many great educational times to be had, thanks to all who contributed!!! And as always, Stacy was there providing cigars and libations and Don Agee brought some awesome BBQ....i recommend this seminar to every knife maker!!!
