Greetings from far-away Finland...

Welcome! From the Philippines here! I'm also a fan of Finnish-style knives! Simple in design and real good wood shapers.

Hello again! I as well as others here have always liked the simple and functional knives like those from Kellam, Enzo, Karesuando, H. Roselli, and the modern model of the M95 Sisipuukko. The grind on such blades, what's been popularly known in the forums as the "Scandi grind", is also well known here. I've ground a few backyard knives here like that and they are superb when shaping wood.

There are other Finns here too. Oh, I read the Kalevala as a youngster years back.

Here is another popular knife maker called Marttiini. Are you familiar with his knives? They are made for mass market, are relatively inexpensive but good for hard everyday use.

Thank you. Wishing you a great New Year too. :p

Yeah, the Finnish people are pretty tough and determined. They don't give up easily. The Winter War was really something. So few Finns, so many Russians... Fought for independence and won it...only to give the freedom of choice to the European union... ;)
