Greetings from far-away Finland...

The Winter War, when the Finns created the name for infamous Molotov Cocktail after the Russian Foreign Minister (?). That was an incredible saga.

Can you send me some snow, our temps are sitting between 36c-41c at the moment.

You are in a real hot seat. You could have all the cold you want from here.

Yes, it was quite a war. The enemy had at least ten to one in manpower and artillery.

Here is some interesting reading if you like...

Welcome to the forums. As you have noticed, we have a very nice community here, and I am sure that you will enjoy it and, from your website, you have quite a bit to contribute. I look forward to reading your posts.

Welcome back to Alaska.
It sounds like you are headed to Homer down in the banana belt.
Kachemak Bay has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I sell my sculpture to a gallery down on the spit.
I have not been down that way in quite a few years.

Wow, you are in Fairbanks. How do you manage with the weather lately. We know some people there.

Yes, Homer is very beautiful. I lived there for years.

I'd love to see some of your sculpture... Pictures?

Warm regards, Spinner

Can I suggest this friendly sub-forum devoted to the Khukuri and some other useful bent blades:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=739

Welcome ...to a forum that never sleeps as the sun never sets upon its vast membership! :D

Thank you.

What an interesting sub-forum. I am not familiar with the Khukuri at all. Very interesting looking blades.

Looks like they are a very usable tool, but also dangerous to an inexperienced user...more so than a regular knife.

I'll be checking them out more as time allows. Thanks again...

Best regards, -Spinner

There is a great Safe Use Thread on the sub forum for new users to the Khukuri which explains what to expect when using these blades.

I am remiss for not mentioning earlier one HI product with direct link to you, the JKM-1:

This is the longest cold spell we have had in years. We put in a wood stove this year and it sure makes a difference. Between family and friends we seem to spend a lot of time helping each other out fixing cars and thawing pipes.
here are a few photos of my sculptures. I work mainly in whale bone and ivory.
