Hello Forumites!

Well, you thought you were rid of me for awhile but guess again!

We got in today on Thai flight 319 from Bangkok to Kathmandu at about 1 PM. I'm still suffering from jet lag so give me a day or two to get adjusted and I'll post more.

This post is coming for Anamnagar, Nepal -- just out side Kathmandu City and I'm using Gelbu's ancient computer to make the post and it is slow.

Today is Losar, the New Year for Sherpas and Tibetans and Chinese so it is a day of celebration here. I don't have a lot of time to post so this will be it for a day or two.

Tomorrow is puja day in the AM -- at Swayambunath -- and the afternoon will be spent in the BirGorkha meeting the kamis and Sarkis and distributing the gifts that many of you so kindly sent. I made it though customs with flying color -- the watches are here!

I'll post more tomorrow so please stay tuned. I'm sorry I cannot address each indiviudal post but I may be able to play a little catch up in a couple of days.

Stay well and be kind to one another.

Blessing to you all from Nepal.

Glad to hear you made it o.k. Have a safe and plesant visit. Don't be too hard on the kamis.

Namaste, Uncle Bill. It's good to hear from you. We've missed you, but Rusty has been doing a great job. We're all looking forward to hearing about your trip in detail.

Great going uncle Bill !!! --- You sound excited. Hey, did you bring the pictures of everybody? Can't wait for more posts from Nepal.

I'm glad to hear that you arrived safely, Uncle. I'm also looking forward to hearing that "special story about Nepal" that you cannot post until your return. Those are always the most interesting types of stories.

Yvsa now decided he wants a real forward curving all the way and was thinking of carvi ng a protocal of one out of wood. Told him that living on Indin time he was a day late and a dollar short: The steel blade prototype would go in the mail Monday.

See if you can download the forum onto disc ond browse it offline. Also if you can figure a way to write offline and send it once on the net, for Gelbu if nothing else.

Get taken care of spiritually and then get to work. Rusty.

Happy Travels, Uncle Bill!

Question: Will you be discussing sword models with the Kamis? Especially a Khanda or Choora (Khyber knife)? I know it's selfish of me to ask, but I would love it if a good functional Khanda were available.

Thanks, ruel

Safe trip Uncle, I am glad the first part of the journey went well. The thought of sitting on aircraft for that long without a smoke is enough to give me the heebee-jeebees... Please give my very best to the kamis, and come home safe.

Hi all, I wanted to pop out of the wood work and introduce myself, I am an HI customer of several years, and I am also the lucky guy that Yvsa is re-handling the FWCK for. Yvsa, you have a knack for building up the suspense - I can't wait to see it! :-)

Cheers for now - and best to all,

QL.

Uncle Bill,

Nice to hear that you arrived in one piece and will be taking it easy for the next few days. Watch out for the Montezuma factor though.

To my surprise I received a response from Nepal from Bill, for an email I sent to him the Wednesday before he left. Considering the circumstances I though this was very thoughtful of him.

I notice that I'm operating at about 500 bytes per second here so don't look for a lot of posts. Take forever.

But many thanks for well wishes. I'll be on my way to BirGorkha in a couple of hours.

No way to get pix posted here so will have to get that done on return to US.

Stay well all and blessings and Namaste from Anamnagar, Nepal!

Glad to see you made it okay Bro. I most certainly hope that Nepal is more as you remember and that things around the city aren't as bad as you may have thought.

It would be nice to find out how the secret project that Jim March requested is coming along. (VBESEG)

Is the summit of Himalaya a bit higher now?

NEPAL HO!

Uncle Bill: Just to add my two cents worth. I'm glad you-all made it. Have fun. Don't work too hard. Tell all your friends that we Americans send our best wishes to them, for the New Year.
