• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Greetings from Troy Ohio!

I'm here for the Mid-America Bladesmithing Expo. I'll try to post every day (if anyone cares:-D) and let you all know what's going on.
Today was just registration and the Demonstrators Dinner, which was fun. Surprisingly, there seemed to be more people from Indiana than Ohio.
That's all for tonight.:)

Nice pics!
Have a good time there.

I'll have the camera with me from now on, so I should have some pics for you tonight. :D
This morning I went to Kevin Cashens discourse and demo on grinding, which was helpful. The saw Rick Dunkerly (sp?) forge weld some components for a "W" pattern mosaic billet.
Sorry no pics yet...

Well, Yesterday afternoon I went to B.R. Hughes lecture on ABS knife judging, which was eye opening in some surprising ways. :)
Then saw Billy Bob Sowell talk about salt pots and jigs. Salt pots sure sound good, if you can get past the danger part.
In the evening we went to Kevin Cashens cutting demo, which was fun.
i have pics, but I'm going to hold off posting them until I get home tomorrow. The internet is even slower here, and it already takes about 3 minutes to upload a 640 X 480 picture. :barf:
