This is a bushcraft knife made by Greg Haile of Oregon. I've been going back and forth about selling this knife for some time. I absolutely love this knife! But it's time to give someone else the chance to enjoy it. The sale will also help me get a piece of equipment in my wood shop I've been needing.
In all honesty, I received this knife in an knife maker exchange on another site several years ago. I've kept it in my tool box in my shop over the years. I take it out every once in a while and cut paper, cardboard and limbs I've dragged into the shop for such purposes. It's never been out of my shop! I just couldn't bring myself to take it out in the woods and waterways and take a chance of marring it up.
There's some scuffs on the etched finish from the kydex sheath and a few minor ones on the micarta, but you have to be looking closely to see them. I've never had to sharpen it, but it needs a touch up now. If the new owner wants, I can put a screaming sharp edge on it for you or you can do it yourself. It's your call.
Greg turns out some fantastic pieces! Just look him up here on Blade Forums or Google his name and you'll see what I mean.
As you can see from the photo's, it has 3 pinstripe liners. A very nicely done tapered tang. Hollow ground blade. This knife feels lite in the hand and is balance well for me. You'd never know it was 3/16"! An all around quality knife!
Here's the specs on the Knife.
Steel: 3/16" (approx .187) Etched 01 Tool Steel - Hollow Ground
Handles: Olive Micarta over 3 pinstripe liners (2 white and 1 black)
Hardware: Brass
Blade Height: 1 1/8" to bottom of the ricasso, approx 15/16" from spine to edge at plunge
Blade Length: 4" from tip to scales, with approx a 3 1/2" cutting edge
OAL: 8 1/2"
Comes with Kydex sheath. Not sure if it's tek loc ready, but I'm going to assume it is because there's no other way to secure it. (I don't own a tek loc to verify)
WEEKEND SALE PRICE= $200!. This includes all PayPal fees (if paying by PayPal) and FREE USPS Priority Shipping to the U.S.! Payment via PayPal at donaldlawson@gmail.com or USPS Money Order.
This knife is posted elsewhere on the Internet, so the first one to reply "I'll take it", will be the new owner!
