This gorgeous Lightfoot 458 Mag is a very recent True North Knives Exclusive. I purchased it a few weeks ago from TKN on an impulse and now I am finding myself somewhat short on holiday funds... I hate have to sell it, but like the old saying goes, I gotta pay the bills...
The 458 Mag Attack is an incredible piece of workmanship! It, of course, exhibits Greg's usual exceptional workmanship and attention to detail. The hollow ground BG-42 blade is satin finished, but the grinds are a very fine matte bead blast, for an amazing contrast! And the tiny hand filed serrations at the rear of the blade are a work of art unto themselves! And the carbon fiber handle overlays have Lightfoot's trademark "shark gills" cut into them. These, along with the asymmetrical top swedge (another classic Lightfoot feature), make this knife a true signature Lightfoot piece.
There were only three 458 Mag Attack Frame Locks made in the first run of this TNK exclusive knife, and they were all numbered. This one is Number 003 and is the only one with a partially serrated blade. And like all Lightfoot knives, it comes with a black fleece-lined zipper pouch. This knife is mint and has only left it's pouch for some fondling and photographing.
