was just looking thru all my old issues of Fighting Knives Magazines and was wondering if anybody knew what happened to him or what he's been doing since FK was sold. Just curious, did not know him or anything.

I figure he's trying to find a new forum to cry in about some medal he wants...

Greg Walker lived here in Bend for years.
I met him once, not in relation to knives, and I saw him once carrying a knife in an interesting upside down rig that almost concealed the knife in plain view.

I understand from an informed source that Fighting Knives did well on the newstand, had a strong financial backer and for some reason never developed the advertisement base that really keeps (IMHO) magazines in business.
Apparently, the backer had a change in investment interests, moved on and, despite strong magazine sales Fighting Knives went under financially.

My source tell me Greg works as a LEO in an indescribably beautiful Oregon seacoast community and has done well in his new situation.

I enjoyed reading Fighting Knives.
I think FK wasted a lot of print glorifying certain special ops organizations and personalities, but when the articles addressed knives I had a good read.

Nyeti,

Excellent comment. Greg never figured out being a soldier is not about the medals.

As Bill Murray so aptly put it in Stripes:

"Now I know why I have always lost out to guys like you, it's not the uniform; it's the stories!
