I just pulled the trigger on the messenger bag from 5.11...I think it will be more suitable for travelling on the airlines and stuffing into overheads or under the seats without the hassle of getting tangled up in the shoulder straps. We will see... the BX has a good return policy so if it doesn't work I can always get the pack.

Anybody remember the .22-250?

I do. I had a Rem 700 in it about 10 years ago when I was in a prairie dog shooting club. Hornady V max would make such a mess, damn that was fun.
