Grimsmo Rask Damascus Blade edge?

I was looking at some pictures of the Rask Damascus blade edge. The damascus grain lookes like its has some deep etching with deep grain ridges and valleys. It looks like the edge alternates between being a normal edge to very thin section. It looks like if you cut anything that is tough that the thin portion might fail. Even if it does not it looks like slicing anything would feel bumpy? Thoughts??

Damascus is for looks, not function, nuff said

I don't think that example was sharpened to a usable edge.

I have another couple of damascus folders and those edges look fine and cut fine. But the ridges on this look huge.
