Hello All,
I have decided to explore a DIY grinder, as opposed to buying one. In looking at various designs, there are two primary spring systems for the idler wheel arm: a spring between the pivot and the contact wheel that compresses to release the belt; and a spring behind the pivot that stretches to release the belt. The former is exemplified by the KMG, while several of the Pheer grinders use the latter approach. I am hoping to get insight into the pros and cons of each design.
TIA
John
