Anyone have any experience with Baldor motors?

I found a gently used L3515T 2hp / 115v 3450 rpm motor for $100 - seemed like too good of a deal to pass up.

I assume I'll be able to use it for one of the no-weld grinders one of these days...

Seems like a good deal at $100 as long as it isn't beat to death.

The 2 things you might run into when using it for a grinder is finding a 7/8" drive pulley, that is unless you are making your own wheels.

Also the rpms would be great for one of the direct drive grinder builds but might be overkill for the step pulley setups like the NWG.

Now if I can only get that lucky :grumpy:

Specifications show that it is 24 Amps when running from 115V. Make sure you have 115V/30AMP circuit for it.
I went with 1HP Baldor motor because all I have access to is a standard 115V/15AMP circuit.
