Okay. So we all know that heavier is better. Less vibrations and so on. I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but wanted to run it by you all for your opinion.

The basement of my house has large shelves of poured concrete at certain corners. The shelf extends out almost 18 inches from the block wall. I am seriously considering setting some anchors into this shelf and bolting my GIB directly to it.

Should I put some rubber sheet between the baseplate and the concrete?

Putting some rubber between might help with vibration but I don't like mounting directly to concrete, you could just mount it to a thick ass piece of MDF and it won't move.
