Grinder Plans

I am thinking of designing a vertical/horizontal grinder plan on Master cam if anyone is interested I will share it

i would like to see a tilt-able designed with two pockets that allow any length tool arm like the kmg, and it should'nt be a chore to pivot. good luck.

This is what I got so far, getting the generic shape down, will continue this some other time. Hope the finished plan can help others get started on a decent grinder.
From other threads it seems that people like the 2 slot body for another tool arm so I added that on.

You've got it setup for direct drive - that's best by far. I'd keep the pivot point as low as possible, and still allow room for motor to clear as it's rotated. Looks good - keep the drawings coming.

Got the plans finished. made those notches so itll fit together right and be welded on the outside, If you want it I can upload it as a STEP file which will be solids in solidworks for you otherwise I have it as a mastercam file Hope you like it.
