Grinder quit!

I am out in the shop, I shut it off, turned it on and it isn't working! Esteem grinder, KBAC-27D with a toggle switch to disc/belt grinder. Disc starts slow, but then speeds up, belt makes a little noise like it's running, but don't turn. Toggle switch felt a little funny once, but now seems fine. Any ideas.

After a little diagnostic "tapping" I think it might be in the toggle. A good rap on the switch box and it started.

Switches off all types can fail, so even if the connections are good the switch can still be bad.

I am a builder and we recently had a bunch of decora (rocker style) switches that would fail after some use. If you have a multi meter you can make sure you have good power to the switch.

I was going on his post that tapping the box made it come back on.

Yes, many switches can be bad right out of the box, and many people use a switch not rated for the load being handled.

Thanks for the help guys. Ill have to spend a little time with it to see what's going on. I ran out this am for just a second and it worked fine, but I should check for a bad connection.
