grinder wheels question

skate bearings were around 5/16 (pretty small) and they had a little slack when put on a bolt. I have these spacers that go in between these bearings but it make them 1/4"(way to small) i may have to ditch the skate wheel idea

knifemaniac, where did you and caseynz get these wheels from??????? The only site I have been able to turn up is a UK site. There must be a site in America that sells a replacement wheel for a polyurethane palete transporter wheels.. If you would not mind how about posting the site for purchasing these wheels! :)

Sorry, man. It is not from US. This is the site of the company here in Bulgaria. My friend, that I made the second grinder for, bought this directly from the company presentation office. Why not try to find something in US like companies related with "Warehouse equipment" or "Hand Pallet Transporter" Here one wheel is about 10 euro, but it comes crowned. You have to make it bumpy.

Why not just try to get the right size bolt. Take your skate bearings to the hardware store and try the 8mm bolt size, or maybe go to a skateboard shop and have them set up a couple axles for you.

Good luck with your grinder, Craig

edit to add, the link you gave earlier has a faq section that shows slightly under 8mm. I'd consider chucking it up in a drill and reducing the shaft slightly with fine sand paper. Kind of fit as you go. Good luck.
