Is the H F surface grinder and mag chuck do a good job?
I was thinking on getting one to help on making folders.

I would not buy a precision tool from HF, the quality just is not there for fine adjustment. Look on the internet and you can find quality used machine that is much better made and can do precision work.

I am real pleased with the mill i got and it holds close tolerance so i was wondering if there surface grinder was good enough to hold .0005 or less.
this looks like the same machine as the one in grizzle book.

I have just finished turning the head of my mill to horizontal and fitting it with a grinding wheel and a magnetic chuck to make an instant surface grinder.
