Grinding 1/4" steel

Chisel,

Where is a good place to get one? Will I need to run it off a air compressor?

Dave, I still have 6 more to go (so far). Its not so bad once you get into the right mind set.

The angle grinder does sound like a good idea, I'm all ears.

Well gents, I have graduated. I just cut a chunk of O1 5/8" thick. I think I deserve some chocolate cake or dark beer for that! :D

Thanks to John Andrews for the guard steel; it's going to Afghanistan as soon as I can get my knife put together...

tell you what 154CM 1/4" sux no matter how it's done here.. :grumpy:

I saw two Dave becks go over 1000.00 on e-bay the other day..
the last ones he sold from his shop was around 460.00.
that tracker cover (my name for it) I made was for one of his last made,

Man I will second that! cutting 154CM is like watching grass grow, my blades are in the 8-10" range and it seems to take forever . I love to get mine cut on a waterjet, because I know when Ive got to cut one out, Im going to be pitching a tent and staying on that bandsaw till morning.
