Grinding 2 blades with 1 guard..

Ive got a batch of neckers that im starting to work through, these go at a reasonable cost, so I try to be as efficient as possible when working them, these are in damascus and I designed the blade length to arrive right at 2", in my quest for effiency without outsourcing, Ive started using my guard like this, I wouldnt attempt with anything over 3", could get complicated having that other blade hanging there, but for these little guys seems to work great!
