Grinding Axes (as in axises)

Does anyone grind their blades on two axes, ie cut out shape, then grind the tip to heel, then the spine to edge, then blend the two?

Previously I have just started with doing the spine to edge, thinning the tip heel proportions along the way. I am wondering if doing a tip to heel shallow thinning first would offer any improvements.

I believe grinding the distal taper first gives the most advantage. In this way there is much less to remove at the tip rearward. Even though you are dealing with less material, because the blade is thicker at the plunge lines, it will take more metal removal to get the blade to final shape.
Most skilled grinders establish the edge of the blade first and then progress up the bevels and toward the tip. I grind with a bubble reference which allows me to work anywhere along the blade at exactly the same angle.
I leave the tip and radius a little thick and finish grind this area after heat treat, in this way you lessen the chances of warp when quenched.
