Grinding composite materials?

What belts (or other methods) do you guys like for grinding carbon fiber, Micarta, G10 etc? I got the personal protection stuff covered, just don't know what 2x72 belt to choose. Same as for grinding steel, or for wood or are there certain belts I should shop for?

For most all handle materials I keep a stock of the cheap AO belts from 80-400 grit. Most of those materials will kill a good belt at just about the same rate as a cheap one.
