Grinding Hook-shaped blades

I'm about to attempt to grind a hook-shaped blade, i think i'm just going to use a slack-belt and eyeball it. If anyone else knows a good way to grind a hawkbill or kerambit style blade, i would appreciate your input. Thanks

Definetely way far from being an accomplished maker much less an expert but I recently did a 7" Khukri and found that the only way I could get the grind was to do it edge down slackbelt on a 1x30. That worked pretty good. Gave me a convex bevel but I don't mind that at all. I was expecting problem with the area where it goes from the straight edge to the curved belly but was not a problem at all.

Do you hollow or flat grind?

i use the edge of the belt only to grind the curves like that

normally i flat grind, but i'm not opposed to either
