A good friend mentioned this to me this evening. When grinding a blade after one side is ground I should take the belt off and then turn it around on the grinder. So that the same edge of the belt grinds both shoulders.... What do you guys think?
I've heard of doing it this way to try to make getting the plunges even a little easier. But to me, it sounds harder, you wear the belt on one side, and then try to grind the plunge on the other side with it worn. It makes more sense to me to start each side with the same amount of abrasive at the start.
I am wrong a lot though
Keep in mind that a lot of belts are directional, and they like to break if you don't pay attention to the little arrows on the inside.
I think I will give it a shot though hell I get my belts here in town and if they break my supplier usually makes it right ....
I will post back after I have tried hell maybe it will work.
And Nick I am wrong alot too but don't tell my wife.
