grinding wrought iron/ soft cladding

It will be a couple months before i am back on my grinder but had been wondering about this.

I thinned down a whit#1 blade with with soft iron cladding with an 80 grit blaze. The soft iron loaded up on the ceramic belt really fast. There must be a better type of belt to use.

any thoughts?

It is a gummy material. I use the blue CZ belts.

3M 984 should work much better than the Blaze.

thanks guys ,i will try both of those...it sure is gummy
