As some of you may know i have been doing all my knife work in my friend's shop, so the wife bought me a grinder this weekend, craftsman 4 x 36. Isnt she great
. It will do while im saving up for the KMG.
Anyway I was practicing on an old file and came up with this. My buddy has been telling me after some practice i would be able to "feel the flat" as i grind. Well i didnt know what he was talking about until now. Ive made 5 knives so far but when i ground this one something just "felt" right, like I was able to start a bevel and then work it up the blade to the spine then stop where i wanted to. Is this how you guys do it? I know the picture sucks (seems like everytime i need the camera my daughter tells me the batt is dead
)
Take my word for it though these grinds are good

Kidding aside let me know what you think and what i could improve.
As always thanks a ton for the help.
