COOL CONTEST!! I however will not be participating. The best you can expect from me would be a cordwrap as I am very limited tool wise. Looking forward to seeing the outcome though and good luck to all the contestants.
 
Its just that I have never had a friend before. I am so lonely. :( If I only had these knife parts I could use them to make a knife. This project would give me such confidence, maybe I could finally talk to a girl. :)

If I could talk to a girl, this would dramatically increase my chances of ever having sex.:p:p:p:p

So.... Give me the knife so I can have sex. :o
 
Count me in, I've made a few from kits and 2 on my own and since the odds of me gettin' a Busse in the immediate near future are slim at this moment this actually seems possible.

Also I own no safe queens only users so this knife when finished would fit right in to my EDC, a buddy just gave me a set of diamond needle files and this would also give me the opportunity try my hand at some file work.

The HORROR! Do NOT and I repeat Do NOT give it Hogwash!!!!!! Who knows what it might turn out like????? Maybe a spoon with micarta handles :p

Well I have made or built equipment for every hobby I have ever tried, well OK I have not built any women… yet, nor any knives.

I made my fishing rods since I was 12, made golf clubs in college, welded bike frames and built wheels when I raced, reloaded when I shot, and even made wine to drink. Every time it made me understand the sport or hobby better and most often gave me a greater respect for people that really knew what they were doing.

I wouldn’t have time to make a knife right now, but if I did, I’d likely be willing to pay a lot more for Jerry’s. So I think he should send me the parts for a Bird & Trout:thumbup: :cool:.

I would like to try this. If you pick me though, be aware that I will inundate you with questions at first. I have always been tempted to remove the slabs when I've stripped in the past but have never been comfortable without backup. This would be a great opportunity to try working on a blade with some expert guidance (a little sucking up never hurts) as necessary. Anyway, whoever wins I am looking forward to watching the process. Thanks again.

I would love to complete this knife! Although this would be the first knife I have done, I have completed a "Faux-Poon" project last year. Another Bladeforum member cut the pattern similar to a Tops Hoffman Harpoon and I did all the finish work. A search in the Wilderness section for Faux-Poon will reveal the progress pics, so I have a little experience! I have all the power grinders, as well as plenty of files, and a Harbor Frieght just down the road!! So, please pick MEEEEEEE!!!!
