Grip vs Mini-grip

I've been very happy with just my 555 Mini-Grip/s that I've had for several years now. Haven't felt the need for one of the full-sized Grips (yet). Some people have expressed dislike for the smaller Mini-Grip due to their larger hands not being comfortable on the handle, and getting all four fingers on the knife, but my hands (my hand size is between a medium and large for most gloves) are perfectly sized for the Mini.

Interesting - I am the other way. I agonized over the same quesion and ended up getting both in the ritter versions. For practical EDC for me I would do the mini - though the extra length of blade on a full size is nice; overalll the mini fits comfortably clipped in front jean pocket and does not intrude, while the full size takes over the pocket. For me the full size would be when expecting to use it constantly as work knife and wanting a bigger handle and not minding how much of a pocket it took up

I spent the last week in New Zealand Capervanning through the North Island. It was the mini that went with me in my kit

I have both the 555 and the 550. I nearly always carry the smaller Grip. For camping or hunting I carry the larger.

I have both the full Ritter and a mini Cabela. It really is a matter of preference, personally I really like both :)

If I am going for a walk or for a day hike then the full Ritter is a great choice. If I am around town or in a building, then the mini is perfect :)

They both feel great in the hand, have an excellent lockup and smooth action. Cannot go wrong!
