Griptilian Drop Point or Sheepsfoot?

I've owned both versions but the one I seem to keep and use more is the sheepsfoot blade...no real reason, but I guess I like the design better.

I got a large Sheepsfoot grip from a fellow member arriving(hopefully) tomorrow. Very excited to get it!

I got it Thursday and I have to say I love the griptilian. I'm really digging the SF blade! I see a Mini in the future, then some scale upgrades.

Choice should come down to how you like to deploy your knife. Thumb hole pros are: no thumb stud to disrupt cutting path, ability to middle finger click it open, better looking design (IMO). Cons: if the hole isn't smoothed out properly, it can be quite uncomfortable or painful to open, and in extreme cases (like with my Delica) can even cut you.
Thumb stud pros are: More discreet/Less unique and attention grabbing, ease of deployment (though not by much). Cons: can get caught on things you're cutting

I'd honestly go with the sheepsfoot/thumb hole. It's my preferred way to open a knife and the middle finger flicking deployment is just so satisfying to do.

I've had both and the sheepsfoot blade seems to flick shut with the axis lock easier. I think it's due to the additional forward weight in the blade and just fun and quick. I really like the looks of the drop point, and opening and closing is still great, but overall probably prefer the sheepsfoot. It has a full length use without the thumb stud as well. I still find the grip drop points blades dang sexy, though. I currently don't have a large grip so probably will get drop point there and have a sheepsfoot mini grip.

Or eventually one of each in each size. :)

I'd place seconds on a Ritter. Even the small version offers enough blade to be useful.

I like the Sheepsfoot, but would have no issue if the drop point was the only blade available. I really like the Spydie hole and the blade design of the Sheepsfoot. Plus the hole does not interfere in cutting like studs can.

I know they refer to it as a drop point, to me it's more a spear point, but whatever it's my most useful and preferred blade grind.
I find the hole more efficient and useful too, to the point I hate thumb studs. AFCK for the win, too bad for us.

Although there's a couple I'm considering with studs, top of my list is the mini grip sheeps foot that will be ground to a more acute point. It'll come from the custom shop in m4 for best toughness with the thinner point, better odds of not breaking it compared to the other steels offered.
