Griptilian!

Based on the information provided I’ll suggest

Benchmade 930-91 Gold Class Kulgera
3.6" Damasteel Blade, Textured Titanium Handles
Limited Run of 250
Or

I've got a full size Griptilian that's driving me nuts. I got the 551 BK and for the life of me can't find the sweet spot to adjust it to.

Either too tight and it won't deploy or ease up and I have enough wobble to cause scratching on the opposite side of the blade's black finish as it rubs the handle on opening.

I am thinking of sending it back to BM to let them deal with it, as it's scratched up from simply deploying it with the thumbstud.

I have a 940 that I adjusted and lok-tited and it's doing okay.

Now my Spyderco Tenacious and Police models are both super sweet and after getting used to their "look" I have grown to love them. :D

MANIX 2, you will fall in love instantly, its the smoothest Spydie I've ever owned and I've owned over 40 or so different spyides...:)

My grip deploys flawlessly, it is perfect, almost gravity, butter smooth, I never touched it adjustment wise. It is with me everyday, pocket lint and all, and no problems. I use Benchmade blue oil, just a drop.

So what do I do guys send it back to the factory? I just tightened it until the blade doesn't rub the opposite side on deployment but I might as well carry a darn fixed blade, it's so stiff now.

I would send it to Benchmade.

Thanks guys, I have just loktited it in again and it's a bit stiff but no blade wobble and deployable.

It will set-up for 24 hrs and I'll lube it up again ( I use Rem-Oil btw ) and flip it a bunch and see if the tolerances smooth out over the following few days.

Opening the adjustment screw (only!) doesn't void warranty right?

If not then back she goes if this continues.
