I used a file on the contact wheel edges. it helped a little.

I got a good tax return this year and bought a kmg. I use the grizzly to buff.

This happend on my own Grizzly too that first day.

I was warned about the tracking problem before hand and was told to place some black electrical tape in the middle of the contact wheel.

I did this and it worked like a charm.

also where would be one of the better places to place the worktable in accordance to the contact wheel? higher than centerline, center, or below center line?

I never once used the table that came with the grizzle.
I did not even bolt it into position.
I just took one look at it and it just seemed not up to the job, so I left it off and have not needed it ever after.
