I am looking to get something to use for rehandling some of my knives (g-10, ivory, micarta, ironwood...) and tweak the shape of the spine and handle on others (metal removal on spine, etc.).

Would something like this work? I realize it's not the best out there, but I don't want to sink a ton of money into it right now. Just want something that will do the job I want and do it at a level of satisfaction I like...

Does anyone have any suggestions on anything relatively inexpensive?

Not to sound off, but files and sandpaper on a roll, for a few handles its all you really need. The problem with that grizzley is there is no slack belt to shape curves so you have to do by hand anyway. If you really want to eat handle material look at the 1 x 30 belt grinder. But to rough shape and sand a handle with a nice wood rasp and some good sandpaper is less than 1 hour, and thats all you can do on a belt anyway before you hand sand for finish.
