what are your guys thoughts on the

H0625 Oscillating Drill Press (grizzly) it has an oscillating option on it. Its not a bad price for 115 bucks. Are there any other drill presses out there like this for the same price range. I am planning on buying it unless someone tells me it sux really big balls.

I have the G7943 and I love it. Works perfectly everytime... I know this isn't exactly the one you are looking at. When I bought mine they did not have the oscillating drill press.. I would also like to hear personal experiance.. If you get it post here... Would like to hear..

The only benefit I see for an oscillating feature, is if you want to use the drill press as a spindle sander. Thats not something I would do very often with my drill press because the spindles aren't made to take a side load. Some folks have had the spindle come clear off, others just end up with a lot of run out.
Personally, for a cheap oscillating spindle sander, I'd buy the one that Rigid makes. Its not really cheap, but a lot less than a horizontal grinder and can use different sized spindles, or you can put a 3X21 belt on it and use it as a horizontal grinder.

well I don't even care about that feature just that it has 1/2hp since its the next model below it has 1/3hp. So it it the next best one that I can afford.

I used my HF drill press for 10 years with no quill wobble until somebody came over and used it with a small grinder wheel and put some side thrust on it. Now it wont drill a round hole anymore. I went to a local tool store and bought a Delta for $229. It has a variable speed dial on it. The first one Ive seen that way for under $1000 anyway. I think it has 3/4 hp and 1/2" chuck. Its very accurate right out of the box and quiet running.
