Hey guys as soon as I use the platen the work piece jumps , if I sharpen on just the belt it's fine. Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I just bought it and put it together. I posted a video of the issue

No problem. Spray the grit side. I had heard of this a while back and never tried it. Then a few weeks ago I gave it a shot and it helped tremendously. It's not really a problem with rubber wheels but mine are metal so the hop is pretty significant on higher grits.

Silicone spray on the back of belt works ok kinda messy but also helps keep platen cool. Some belt joints are a little tougher than others.

What's up grumpy?? You got that grinder bumping tonight ??? Hope you have a happy new year!!
