Well, I finally got my grizzly grinder after waiting over 2 months for it. Ordered on Aug 20th, received Oct 25th. Looked good, but they plugged it in. Motor bearing were all messed up, so it has to go back to grizzly for repairs. Their QC department is very bad, i doubt they even checked the stuff out before they sent it out. STAY AWAY FROM GRIZZLY!!!

Called grizz today and they said i would get motor in about a week or so. Now it is up to 2 months and a week for the wait.

My Father has a number of Grizzly products in his shop (2 jointers, 20" planer, table saw, shaper, sander, and benchtop drill press). He hasn't had many problems at all with them and is quite pleased with the quality for the price. In his, and my opinion, they have one of the best performance/cost ratios on the market and are probably the #1 import brand.

Thank you for the words of hope! I should be getting the motor any day now, so I can see how it is. Many people like Grizzly, but I've heard many people here had trouble with the grizzly knifemaker machine and getting untrue contact wheels, bad motors, bad bushings, etc. Maybe the problems are with certain machines and not others. Oh well. I hope mine finally works!!

I've had experience with both a GRIZZLY belt sander and their drill bits. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER GRIZZLY PRODUCT AGAIN, no matter how cheap it cost. I think their products are JUNK!!!!

There is A GIANT distribution company just down the street from me called Grizzly Industrial that sells "quality wood and metal working tools". Is that the same place? This place has A knife shop in the showroom too. Mostly Boker and Junglee stuff. Taz, did your order go to Missouri? I think they have other locations too. I am pretty sure they do mail order here as it is really big and they are currently building an addition that will double the size, and the showroom is not that full. I guess this post doesn't really help anything does it? Well if you got it from here and want me to "rough 'em up a little" just let me know....

Them be the Bastids, bteel!!! I got mine shipped from Pa, though. Well, they said i would get my motor last friday or today, and I haven't gotten it yet, so they get yet another call tomorrow. They even make you pay for the customer service and tech calls!! Right now, I'm not too happy with the company in general. I can't grind till turkey day break cuz I am at college now, but when i get home, that machine better run perfect! I have 3 knives to blank, and another 7 to grind, so I will be busy!!

Don`t know about the QC, but it took 3 months to get a 10 inch replacement wheel for my grinder. Belt speed to slow on the OEM 8`` At least the new wheel runs true!Good luck with yours.
