Grizzly Man Diaries.... WTF ???

Treadwell was nuts - too bad for the girlfriend who believed his line o' crap - sometimes you need to go with conventional wisdom, or else end up as a snack for a bear.

I was under the impression that they destroyed that tape, or his brother never released it. If it is out, as stated earlier, I'd rather it have been destroyed.

Last I heard, Treadwell's followers at "The Grizzly People" have the tape and keep it under wraps so it won't give people the "wrong" idea about bears, (that nasty habit of eating idiots) but they did let Werner Herzog listen to it when he made the documentary "The Grizzly Man", but not play it for the film audience to hear.

I will behave now, because I tend to get in trouble when I say what a really think of Tim Treadwell the moron/idiot/liar/fraud/fool/con artist/grifter/fake/dip***t.

:D

That was the last beer I had before going dry for good...man that stuff is strong! I unfortunatly I am on the wagon for good, and am also nicotine free for about 3 months as well....yea, good for me. .yea ....seriously...that is some tasty beer with some serious kick.

Congratulations on the 3 months! I haven't had a cigarette since 1989, after smoking for 32 years. Smartest thing I ever did. I am still a smoker though, and I think it's important to remember that. It's like being an alcoholic. You're always an alcoholic, so you can't just have one, "because who would that hurt?"

Anyway, best of luck, Gene.

Doc

he's like the bear whisperer or something.'

he had to of known it would happen sooner or later

"girlfriend" should be in quotes. That guy was a fruit.

Blind spot on factor f in the Johari Window. I got the overwhelming impression from the movie that there was a certain fruitiness underlying his propulsion that he hadn't quite got handles on, or was struggling to avoid acknowledging.

I watched some of one episode as I like to watch bears fish but thought this guy is over the edge , that there was some thing blocking the This ain't Yogi & BooBoo and I ain't in Jellystone thought process.

Congrads to the 3 months as well I have been of both booze and tobacco for 21 years (seriously abused both for same amount of time ) best any thing I ever did.for myself and those around me.

I have to admit to watching "Grizzly Diaries" numerous times, though only for the same reason I watch that other retard Bear Grylls: to see beautiful outback areas that I normally could not get to.
Too bad it takes total fruitcakes to justify putting decent video footage of raw nature on primetime. Kids are gonna think the only reason to go deep into the wilderness is to act completely reckless.

Congrats. I too have quit smoking and find it very difficult not to return to. It's been almost 10 years now, but crave one every now and again.

My hat's off to you sir. Keep it up, your lungs will thank you in the long run:D

Really can't add anymore than what was already said... but when I saw him moving salmon so that they could "continue to live", I changed the channel.

Nobody should have to die as he did, but if you push the envelope, I guess that it's going to catch up to you.

My takeaway from the few minutes of watching: Arrogance, whether in day-to-day life or with nature, gets you nowhere.

Yeah, when he got into the water with that one bear and it got real aggresive with him for a split second.....I almost fell out of my chair!!!!

I feel bad for the woman who he helped kill.

However, no remorse for him. If you do jumping jacks on the interstate (or play with bears) don't be surprised when bad things happen to you.

Congrats on both accounts Gene:thumbup:
I have tried to quit smoking twice now and I failed. I will give it another go soon.:o

Tim knew the risk he was taking. He chose not to carry a weapon or bear spray. He gambled and eventually lost. What a way to go.

Reminds me of the native Americans counting coup on their enemies.

This dude was insane.

Man I need to throw down the smokes. I quit for 4 years and started again when I got back from the Army. I was down to 1 smoke a day, and started up again one night while out with friends.... Lots of people smoke in missouri. Almost impossable to escape....

The 120 minute IPA is 20% right? Maybe for my birthday I'll drop the $9.99 to get myself 12 oz. of chest-hair growing beer.

Unfortunately so did Amie Huguenard, who it was his duty to protect, since he took her out there, after lying to his supporters promising he wouldn't take her.

It was a shock to me that that fools name was mentioned along with Chris McCandless.
(Hope I didn't open a can of worms there.)

Why? Both were fools who died because of their own stupidity yet for some reason filmmakers choose to portray them as some sort of Jesus
