Hey guys. I'm getting married in April and was thinking of what gift to give my groomsman. Since our wedding color is blue, I was leaning towards getting the guys the limited edition steel blue Victorinox Cadet and having them engraved with their initials and the date of my wedding. What do you guys think?

You got a budget on that pal? The delica and mini grip would be awesome groomsman gifts too!

Congratulations on your marriage too!

I like it, simple and classy... The pioneer (same design) is nice too...

Another good sweet and simple one would be one of the blue bone handled Case knives, like a Mediterranean Blue trapper or Navy Blue American Workman.

But yeah, great little gift to say thanks to guys who got your back... And congrats.

I guess it would depend on your budget.
First thing that popped in my head was a set of engraved small Sebenzas....that would be sick

Just got married two weeks ago. My step son was my best man. I bought him a Mini Griptilian and had it laser ingraved with his name, Best Man, and the date. The new Mini Griptilian has gray and blue scales and blue standoffs.

Leatherman micra make a great gift for groomsmans. Also a nice beer mug with their initials on it.

I like your idea. Everyone can use a SAK even if they aren't knife guys.

I got married last September and I got the guys a Buck Nobleman that was engraved with their initials. I like the color idea of Vic matching your wedding colors though- ties it all together and alox is still classy and functional! Congratulations on your marriage!

Congrats:) I think the blue Vic is a great idea. My wife and I got married 10 years ago. I'm a khukuri guy. I gave my groomsmen each a small belt knife made by HI. We even cut our cake with a khuk;)

However, I gave my nephew (who was 6 at the time, so I actually gave it to my brother in law to give to him) an engraved Victorinox Soldier for doing a great job of not dropping the rings;)

I do like useful tools as groomsmen gifts. I have so many mugs and flasks and other little trinkets that my various buddies have gifted me at their weddings, and I treasure them...but I don't use them.

I told my guys, "Use these. Carry these. These are tools I give to you because I love you guys enough to give you a knife I would be proud to wear on my hip."

I think a nice classic pocket knife like a Vic or Case would be a fine gift that might actually find their ways into your friends' pockets.

Once again...congrats:)

Thanks for all the kind words and congratulations fellas. I appreciate all the suggestions too. Gives me some other good options I hadn't thought about. My budget is on the less expensive side. I found a place I can get the cadets w/engraving for $45 a piece. Seems like a pretty decent price.

Blue kershaw blur.

I gave my groomsmen all usmc ka-bars and they loved them.

We have done some pretty awesome groomsmen gifts with Benchmade with their personalized laser marking. These turn out fantastic and can be really reasonable but a little over your current stated budget.

I'd love to do a custom grip, but not in my budget. The other idea I had was engraved Opinel knives for everyone. But if it was me...I'd prefer a Cadet over an Opinel. Thoughts?

Cadet over Opinel hands down. Both excellent knives but for the layman as a edc,the cast wins-plus the engraving.
I gave my groomsmen Swiss Army watches and they were a huge hit. That was 24 years ago.......
My brother still wears his almost every day.

Great idea, that's way better than most of the groomsman gifts I've gotten over the years.

I like it! I did green handled Kershaw Leeks for my groomsmen, but I think the Cadet is a better idea.

I gave all of mine a Leatherman Micra on a carabiner with a little Photon flashlight. The ES4 comes in blue, Photons can come with blue bulbs, and together would run about 40. But engraved is cool, too. However you decide, congratulations! My wedding day was about the best in my live, may yours be the same.

Sorry for the cross posting (broken clip thread- manuf forum, longest serving thread) but received a stainless delica2 18 years ago from a friend as a grooms present, and it truly was one of the gifts I've used the most with a lot of sentimental value. That's my vote.
