groove grooves?

hi all,

I was looking at the groove, and noticed that the groves on the blade go all the way to the factory edge. In the event that you wear the edge down past the factory edge, do you have to grind down the grooves? Or is it really easy and just look difficult from the pics online?

The grooves are very shallow and are cut out not raised up. Sharpening isn't a problem at all since you are actually removing less material than sharpening a standard blade the same thickness and edge angle.
