As far as new pics go, don't hold your breath. While I have an adequate camera and can re-learn to take a decent snap with it, I find it to be a large pain-in-the-@$$ and won't have time for it in the foreseeable future. That is why the pics shown by me were taken FEB 2010. I shot everything I had of interest at the time so that I would not have to go through that again for a good long while. I haven't and won't. If you are not satisfied with the pics available and my description, look elsewhere, don't bother me and don't ask me why I won't jump through hoops to sell you one little knife. Life is too short..... Otherwise.....
I'll take it implies that it is lawful for you to buy/own the knife you ask for where you live. Follow with a PM at BF and/or an e-mail to "pmsayre153@hotmail.com". Price listed gets US Postal Priority shipping (with tracking #) to the "lower 48". Insurance is extra. All other locations will ship USPS Priority Insured at additional actual cost to your location and I will not lie on Customs forms. I will will check BF and my e-mail in-box when I can and carefully pack & ship your knife ASAP upon: 1) Finding out I've received payment via Paypal (Use of "gift" or "friends & family" is at your own risk); 2) receipt of a US Postal Money Order or; 3) Clearance at my bank of any other type of money order. No other forms of payment accepted. I will carefully pack the knife but once it has been accepted at the Post office for mailing, I will no longer be responsible for it. Neither for loss nor for damage in transit. Pass on insurance at your own risk.
I am downsizing and selling parts of my collections. I am not looking for trades or entertaining/responding to "low-ball" offers. If they don't sell at the asking price, I'll keep them for another 5 or 10 years and perhaps try again or (gasp) resort to "that auction site" with what I feel is a reasonable reserve price and sell these holy relics to the heathen infidels.
I reserve the right to refuse to sell or even respond to anyone without explanation. I may not be but try to be and like to think of myself as a bit of a mirror. Do me the courtesy of treating me like a reasonable human being and I will return the favor. I have limited time and energy and view interactions in this sales forum as a potential transaction to be concluded quickly one way or the other with minimal fuss and bother. If I do not know, I will not do your research for you. You have or have access to a computer or computer like object and access to the Internet so use it.
Lastly, if I seem a bit cranky I'll admit that some of it is me being a grumpy old man at 58 but IMHO a good bit of it is you. Perhaps not you as an individual but you as, again IMHO, too many of the group of people who have responded to this thread and others by e-mail or PM. To those of you who don't bother to read the whole thread, found another one of the nearly infinite bits of minutia that I have not specifically dealt with, or simply enjoy a bit of "troll the geezer", I look to William Claude Dukenfeld AKA W. C. Fields who reputedly said "Go away boy, you bother me." and, in response to the question 'What do you think of children, Mr. Fields?' supposedly replied "Delicious when properly cooked." I am also reminded of Sartre's "Hell is other people."
To the rest of you, thanks for looking and have a nice day.
Pete
